Everyone who was old enough during Sept 11th to don’t forget knows how hard that day was for America. Family and friends of those who passed away were devastated. Not only that, however history books show everybody in the country on the time to be hurt by it. President Obama makes it seem like September 11th wasn’t as hard for the country as it truly was. A remark was created by in reaction to Obama’s remark.
What exactly was the remark produced by President Obama?
The September 11th attack was something President Obama commented on. He also spoke about all terrorist attacks in the country. Bob Woodward
showed in his new book, “Obama Wars,” President Obama stating:
We can absorb a terrorist attack. We’ll do everything we can to prevent it, but even a 9/11, the biggest attack ever… we absorbed it and we are stronger.”
This small statement was enough to set off even Liz Cheney, daughter of Dick Cheney.
What did Cheney say?
Liz Cheney was outraged by this statement on the part of President Obama. She felt like he was stating that he would not protect The United States with all of of his power and resources. She called for an explanation from Obama about this.
CBS News reports her saying:
Americans expect our President to…use everyeach tool at his disposal to find, defeat, capture and kill terrorists. We expect him to…make it clear to our adversaries that an attack on the United States will carry devastating consequences. Instead, President Obama is reported to have said, ‘We can absorb a terrorist attack.’ This comment suggests an alarming fatalism on the part of President Obama… The President owes the American people an explanation.
Several demand Obama to clarify himself
Other people are worried about the Obama terror attack comment and hope to have a conclusion too. The question on Bilal’s mind of 12 News is why the president would ever say something like that at all. . Then you will find the individuals wondering why the President would be telling terrorists to go ahead and hit us. Then there is Mitch Marconi. He thinks that is just overreacting to the remark as a result of the joy they get in criticizing the Obama administration with Cheney. It does not really matter if they are overreacting or not. Everyone nevertheless expects Obama to explain.
