Tax free weekend for needy in NC 2010

Americans need more money with the recession hitting salaries so hard. Even getting school supplies for children could be a really big problem financially for some families. Instant loans in North Carolina can be easier to come by with tax free weekend NC 2010.

NC 2010 tax free weekend starts August 6 and ends August 8

Families hoping for cash quick have reason to cheer on tax free weekend NC 2010. Individual school supply items may not be expensive, but an entire list of must-haves for the first day of school can easily add up. Without sales tax, families can better afford to purchase these supplies. According to the Asheville Citizen-Times, along with no sales tax, there are also going to be big sales on school items.

Pencils, paper, notebooks and more will fly off the shelves. ”It’s insanity around here. Tax-free weekend is busier than Black Friday for us. It is that way for most office supply stores,” is what Nicole Lawrence, supervisor of Office Max in Buncombe County, North Carolina, told the Citizen-Times.

Strategies for school shopping

Consider going to retailers that sell more than just school supplies. Stores that sell clothing or sporting goods with school supplies profit quite a bit from the weekend also. Remember, less driving means less gasoline consumed. Check ads to compare prices before buying. Don’t wait when you know the item will sell fast. Perhaps most importantly, be patient. Stores are all going to be very busy.

Getting some assistance

Those who need not just North Carolina’s tax-free weekend help when it comes to finances have an additional option. The Citizen-Times reports that Jan Blunt who’s the communications director of Buncombe County Schools said “Tools for Schools” is just one of many Eblen Kimmel Charities available to families who need help. If you need to be a part of this, you’ll have to provide your child’s social security number and grade level. 50 Westgate Parkway is where Eblen Kimmel’s office is where supplies can be picked up on August 16. Those who would like to donate new, unopened school supplies for the giveaway are encouraged to do so on Wednesday, Aug. 11 between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. at the Ingles market on Tunnel Road.
